Warriors midfielder Shimpei Sakurada and winger Tatsuro Inui were the first two players to try out the new Phiten Healthcare Chamber on Feb 11.

The chamber, which is located at the region’s first Phiten Recovery Lab at Marina Square, promotes additional oxygen intake and increases “dissolved” oxygen in blood vessels by Hyperbaric Air Therapy to aid players’ recovery in between matches.

Other benefits include promoting cell metabolism, reducing eye strain, promoting better blood circulation and relieving of swelling.

No wonder Inui, the S-League’s Young Player of the Year last season, said: “I slept for one hour and felt refreshed after the session.

“Three years ago, I had also tried it in the J-League.  It’s also part of the recovery process for J-League players and I will definitely try this again when I have the chance.”

Phiten had been sponsoring the Warriors with products such as warm-up gels, tapes, etc. This Phiten Healthcare Chamber and Recovery Lab are their latest additions to help the players in their recovery.

The chamber can be folded and is portable for easy transportation.
